FIRCaspian is currently seeking candidates for the expat position of Technical Support Team Lead.
Location: Atyrau
Work schedule: 5/2
Responsibilities:
Oversee the technical management of company‑owned and contracted marine vessels.
Review and approve vessel construction, modernization, and repair projects.
Ensure compliance with technical documentation, classification rules, and safety standards.
Coordinate inspections, maintenance, dry‑dock activities, and technical audits.
Manage the technical team, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and resolve operational issues.
Liaise with contractors, classification societies, and internal marine operations teams.
Provide technical expertise on all marine operations and support the Head of Marine Logistics.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering, or Navigation.
6–8 years of maritime management experience or technical shipyard/classification experience.
Strong knowledge of vessel construction standards, technical supervision rules, and marine regulations.
Experience in maintenance and operation of marine equipment and systems.
Ability to work in remote locations with limited infrastructure.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team‑leading skills.
Good understanding of engineering standards, safety requirements, and marine industry practices.
